Strolling in Soho yesterday on the way to Raindance openhouse...I walked past a thunderous applause and realised it was the Django Unchained UK premiere in London.
I managed to squeeze past a 'few' fans to get a high five from the man himself, Quentin Tarrintino, while he was on the red carpet in Leicester Square.
That's all.

Today "The Sunset Sleeps" featured in a page article in the Bedford Midweek, the sister paper to the Bedfordshire on Sunday.

I've recently been contacted by Andrew Whitmore, Assistant Director, Careers & Employability Division of the University of Manchester for an interview with Robertson-Cooper, a leading occupational psychiatry firm.

Andrew is working with Robertson-Cooper (http://www.robertsoncooper.com/), occupational psychologists, to identify key competencies in individuals that leads to success.
Andrew wants to use this research to help future students identify their own key competencies and then work on improving areas they need to develop. They will be interviewing about key creative competencies. Interesting.
As a University of Mancheser graduate, I was happy to oblige.
Today we wrapped on my debut short film!
A-coming-of-age romance story with elements of fantasy, The Sunset Sleeps, was shot in the picteresque village of Biddenham, Bedfordshire, a stones throw from where I grew up.
We had a phenomenal shoot, after a series of hiccups, including a thunder storm and a major location change.

I wrote the story this time last year, it was scripted by Ray Bogdanovich and Dean Lines. 'The Sunset Sleeps' stars; Fiona Ryan as 'Liz', Christopher Rithin (above) as 'Blake' and myself as 'Jon'.
We have Andrew Patrick as our Executive Producer. Andrew is the former founder and first CEO of the British Film Commission - the international arm of the UK Film Council.
The short will be going into post-production soon with myself, and a post-production team headed by Tom Ruddock of StoryCulture!

After much consideration,‘OYE! - When I'm Small (remix)’, has been selected for screening ASFF 2012, and will be shown at the festival from 8th – 11th November in the city of York.
I can't wait to meet the filmmakers, industry heads and hopefully go away with a prize of some form!
Niko (CEO of InkRed clothing) was so impressed with the music video, album promo and mini fashion clip we did for Karl 'OYE!' Iglesias and the InkRed brand that he comisssioned us to do a fashion film with a more serious tone for his line 'EPIDEMIC'.
We shot this at a studio in South East London. The video also stars someone quite close to home...me!

Hope you enjoy it!

Today I was featured in an artile in British newspaper; The Guardian. Joseph Harker covered the Rare Rising Star 2012 event in which I won an award for Arts & Creative Enterprise.

I recently directed a fashion film in Bruges, Belgium with high fashion model Anne-Laure Vandeputte.
Shot by Korneel Cools.
Designer - Marieke de Pauw.

Miss LeRoy said:
"There is no way of knowing of what's going to happen from one scene to the next. [...] ¡OYE!'s flow and demeanor fit the video perfectly. His unique flow and animated mannerisms really helped to contribute to the entertainment factor of the project."

More 'When I'm Small(remix)' press...!
Read it here.

the Journal Sentinel the largest newspaper in Milwaukee USA has posted up 'When I'm Small'. Kool.

CrayonBeats in the USA have said the music video for ¡OYE! 'When I'm Small' is "dope as hell...the fellas with the white-painted faces ane evil grins add a creepy touch." Good to hear.

Last night I was at a packed Wembley Stadium (87,000 in fact) as part of an ensemble dance cohort of 230 performing alongside Tinchy Stryder and Usain Bolt (who decided to make a casual appearance)
It was the climax of an intense month of preparation between us (the dancers), production company Irresistible Films and choreographer Ashley Wallen in Regents Park and at Wembley over four tough weeks.
With hundreds of millions watching on TV worldwide, and sharing the pitch with Manchester United and Barcelona teams, it was definitely one of the most surreal moments I've ever had...
The video of the entire performance can be seen in my Performance section of this website.

I've recently been featured in Nubia Magazine (April/May 2011), great!

I was intereviewed by Courtney Overton-Edwards. I touched on some of what I did, starting out, from; running on commercials in London, to standing out in the rain, holding tarpaulin over a camera crew on a music video in Salford! True story.
